AIA Iowa’s People’s Choice Awards- The votes are in!
Des Moines, Iowa (April 28, 2017) –The American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa) is pleased to announce the winners of the second annual People’s Choice Award. Throughout the competition that lasted the month of April, the public had the opportunity to vote for architecture built by Iowa’s architects. The public could vote once per project per day through IowaArchitecture.org and at the end of the month, over 41,000 votes were counted.
The Top 5 People’s Choice Award Winners:
1) Milton Public Library 7830 votes FEH Design 2) Woodward-Granger Elementary School 5721 votes by DLR Group 3) Wild Rose Casino & Resort 5504 votes by DLR Group 4) DLR Group Work Place Improvements 5291 votes by DLR Group 5) Grand View University Student Center 4649 votes by FEH Design
Over 28 projects were submitted for consideration by the community, including many schools and public buildings. Milton Public Library emerged the winner by over 2000 votes.
